I make resolutions all year round not just at a New Year. I cement them, I adjust them and move the line in the sand if need be but I work towards their success.
The Polar Bear swim was representative to me of moving through my mental barrier’s.
Most people view swimmingย in a nearly freezing cold Canadian lake in winter as something to avoid but for me it showed some resolve and willingness to achieve goals, to not be bound by conventional mental barriers, dissatisfaction or instant gratification.
Achieving it was symbolic and a mental success for me.
And, in achieving this swim in winter, I commit to take that spirit into all other goals I make and to do it with clarity.
I have a new perspective. I enjoyed challenging my internal compass in the mental, physical and spiritual self (mind body spirit).
